The Federal Government has called on Nigerians to repose confidence in the capacity of the Federal Civil Service in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities in line with the change agenda of the present administration.

The Permanent Secretary Common Services Office, Mr Yemi Adelakun made the urge shortly after a special Juma’at Service held at the National Mosque, Abuja as part of the activities marking the 2016 Nigeria Civil Service Week Celebration.

Alhaji Adelakun said that “the image of the Nigeria Civil Service has been often stereotyped” and appealed to all Nigerians to give the Service a chance to perform and not to resort to its condemnation.

The Permanent Secretary who expressed optimism in the emergence of a new brand of Civil Service which will be committed and dedicated to the rebuilding of the new Nigeria of our dream, further called on Nigerians to make it a habit to pray on behalf of those who are in the position of authority so that God would give them the wisdom to discharge their statutory responsibilities.
