Bureau of Public Service Reforms

Welcome to the MAY edition of the “Reformer Monthly”.

This edition tells the story of the launching of the Community of Practice programme between the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) and State Governments to enable continuous learning on how to manage and consolidate reforms for improved service delivery.

In my presentation titled “Swimming against the Tide”- I set out 15- point lessons from Public Service Reforms implementation in developing Countries. I invite reform-minded public servants and academics to provide feedback on them through our website.

You will also find in this edition the Bureau’s collaborative efforts with other agencies on strategies to concretize the reform agenda through leading and managing change.

I will use this opportunity to thank the DFID-FEPAR programme which closed at the end of April for their contributions to public service reform in Nigeria. FEPAR was a great source of support to BPSR and we look forward to working with the Public Service Accountability and Governance (PSAG) programme that succeeded FEPAR.

These and much more you’ll find in this edition.
