BPSR Trains Civil Servants on preparation of Ministerial hand-over notes...

The April edition of e-newsletter of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) has reported its involvement in transition period with the ministerial hand-over notes. With support from the Federal Public Administration Reform Programme (FEPAR), management staff of Federal Ministries were trained.
The training tagged 'Ministerial Handover Briefings: Supporting Effective Election Transition Process' which was done in three streams to accommodate all the Officers from all the Ministries took place at the New Chelsea Hotel Abuja from Monday 17th- Wednesday 19th April 2015.
While declaring the workshops open, the Head of the Federation, Mr. Danladi Kifasi, CFR mni commended the BPSR for worthwhile initiatives as it continues to seek new ways of doing government business. He underscored the importance of hand over notes in the Public Service particularly one that provides key knowledge and information regarding state of affairs of a Ministry and its Agencies and Parastatals so that the period of transition can be as short and smooth as possible. He added that this transition is unique in the sense that since return of democracy in1999, government was changing from one political party to another and that the incoming government would therefore require relevant information in order to effectively take over reins of government.
The rest of the story can be read in the April's edition of REFORMER MONTHLY.
