FG Promises Succour for Victims of Rainstorm Disaster in Akoko-Edo...

The federal government weekend has promised financial assistance for victims of last Sunday’s devastating flood in Igarra, headquarters of Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo State to cushion the impact of the disaster.

Rainstorm last Sunday claimed the lives of six person as they were swept away by flood occasioned by the heavy rain, destroyed houses and hospitalised many in Igarra..

But in his speech the Assistant Zonal Coordinator, South-South of National Emergency Management Agencey (NEMA), Godwin Tepikor who was led to an on-the-spot assessment of the area by the senator representing the area, Domingo Obende and Peter Akpatason Representing Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency has promised succour.
