The Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) is commencing a Reform Seminar Series which will provide a forum for the active exchange of innovative ideas, knowledge and practice. It will address topical issues and share experiences about what has worked and what has not worked well within the Nigeria Public Service and in other countries and it’s role in delivery of the Transformation Agenda.
2. The BPSR is therefore partnering with the World Bank, DFID and the DFID FEPAR programme. The details are as follows:
Topic: "New Directions for Public Service Reforms’’
Venue: Auditorium of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Federal Secretariat, Central Business Area, Abuja.
Date: Thursday 26th June 2014
Time: 9:00 am prompt.
3. Papers will be presented by two internationally acclaimed and renowed public service experts, and known Nigeria experts on public service reforms will serve as resource persons.
Speakers: a) Dr. Willy McCourt (World Bank, Washington, USA)
b) Dr. David Booth (Overseas Development Institute, UK)
All Federal Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Service of the 36 States of the Federation, Directors of Reform Coodination in MDAs, Select Chief Executives of Federal Parastatals and their Directors in charge of Reform arecordially invited to attend.
Accreditation of participants opens in the Bureau (Conference Room, 3rd Floor Block D, Phase ll Federal Secretariat Abuja) from Tuesday 24th June 2014.
4. Please note that attendance is strictly by invitation and all guest should be seated by 9.00 am.
