US Secretary Of Commerce On A Trade Mission In Nigeria.

The United State Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, is leading 20 American companies on an energy business development trade mission to West Africa, specifically to Nigeria and Ghana.
In a statement issued by the United States Consulate-General to Nigeria and Ghana, Pritzker who arrived Lagos yesterday for a three-day visit, is expected to promote United States’ exports and expand American companies’ presence in Africa by helping them launch or increase their business in the energy sector.
The firms joining the mission have the expertise that would help African countries develop and manage energy resources and systems, as well as build out power generation, transmission, and distribution.
The statement explained that in “line with President Obama’s strategy towards sub-Saharan Africa, this mission is an opportunity to connect United States products, services and expertise to support Africa’s enormous power potential.” (Source - BizWatch Nigeria)
