Publisher's note
Dr Joe Abah - Director General
Bureau of Public Service Reforms
I would like to welcome our readers and subscribers to the June edition of the “Reformer Monthly”
The central position of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms in driving change that will position Nigeria’s Public Service as an institution of excellence has attracted Government organs and private sector organisations to seek the support of the Bureau on reform issues.
In this edition, you will find the visit of the Edo State Government to understudy the strategies, structures and modalities of the Public Service reforms in order to establish similar functional structure in the State. Furthermore, the Independent Service Delivery Monitoring Group (ISDMG) has sought the collaboration of the Bureau in the organisation of a Fair that will showcase mandates and achievements of Government institutions to the people. An ICT firm, Systems Application Products (SAP) and the Bureau have also agreed to fashion out modalities of collaboration to support Government in achieving its key change agenda.
In this edition, you will also find the Bureau’s collaborative meetings with MDAs on the review of the National Strategy on Public Service Reforms (NSPSR), a workshop on Open Government Partnership, the public presentation of Prof. Ladipo Ademolekun’ autobiography “I Remember” and more.
