Federal Government appoints Sultan to lead Hajj pilgrims..

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar
President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, as the National Amirul Hajj, to lead the 23-member Federal Government delegation to this year’s Hajj operations in Saudi Arabia.

The Special Assistant on Media to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Sam Nwaobasi, stated this in a statement in Abuja, on Monday.

Other members of the delegation, according to the statement, include Senator Bello  Tukur, Alhaji Ismaila Gadaka​​​​, Justice Tajudeen Ariwoola​​, ​Dr. Nurudeen Mohammed and the Emir of Suleja​​​​​​, Muhammed Auwal Ibrahim.

Also included in the team are Oba Aderemi Adedapo, Alh. Adbullahi  Akinbode, Alkali Abubakar Shettima(retd.),​ Dr. Khadija Tukur,​​​Mr. Nuumanu Bamalli, Alhaji Sani Dauda​​​​​ and Adamu Bulkachuwa among others.
