The Federal Government Monday in an emergency meeting of the National Council on Health, urged states governments to put in place systemic checks that will checkmate further spread of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).
Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu stated this in Abuja at the meeting with Commissioners of Health across the 36 states of the federation.

Chukwu said "close collaboration between the federal authorities, the states and local governments" have become imperative as a strategic to restrict the spread of virus to only the current locations where there are confirmed cases”.
